The Sandquist Family and their home are a living time capsule of La Canada.  After serving in WWII William Sandquist married his sweetheart and moved into the carriage house of a turn of the century Victorian at 1425 Curran Street.  He worked in Montrose for decades and she just retired after working at Sport Chalet for 34 years.  They purchased that carriage house in 1947 and then built their dream home in front of it in 1964.  Though the scenery has changed a bit in 61 years, this immaculate home is a testament to the sailor who served and his girl back home.
